220 companies interviewed over 1500 students out of which +1,310 students got placed in the first phase itself. This created an all time highest digits in the history of IIT Kharagpur. A total of 1568 students were placed in the year 2018-19.

Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi: The University has  pioneered engineering education by being the first in the country to start degree courses in Mining, Metallurgy, Ceramic Engineering and Pharmaceutics with the establishment of the College of Mining and Metallurgy and the College of Technology in the years 1923 and 1932 respectively, in order to meet the then requirements of the going to be Independent India.In 1969 these three colleges were amalgamated to form the Institute of Technology. Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST): A government-aided institute and deemed university for the study and research of space science, located at Valiamala, Nedumangad Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. It is the first university in Asia to be solely dedicated to the study and research of Outer space.

IIST offers undergraduate (BTech), master’s (MTech) and PhD programs in space science and technology, and also serves as a research centre and 5-year Dual Degree (BTech + MTech/M.S)programme.

This dual degree course provides specialization in: B.Tech. in Engineering Physics, M.S. in Solid State Physics, M.S. in Astronomy, M.S. in Earth System Science and M.Tech. in Optical Engineering.

Training & Placement

The placement records show that the institute is growing every year. In the year 2019, the 51 companies visited the campus which recruited 126 students in BTech and 72 students in MTech. The highest salary was recorded to be 8.2 LPA in BTech and 14.54 LPA in MTech.

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU):  Offers Master of Technology Integrated Degree Programs in many disciplines. While some of the Integrated M. Tech programmes are offered in the regular scheme, some are offered in association with Blekinge Institute of Technology, Sweden (BTH). The Integrated M. Tech programmes in the regular scheme is known as Integrated Dual Degree programme (IDP) and that in association with BTH is called Integrated Double Degree Masters Program (IDDMP)

In all these programmes, students will be introduced to the B. Tech syllabus and get them refreshed in the first part of study. Students who have enrolled for the Integrated M. Tech under Electronics and Communication Engineering will have topics studied during B. Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering in the first half of study. Those who have chosen Integrated M. Tech under Computer Science Engineering will have to study subjects studied in B. Tech in Computer ScienceEngineering etc.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should satisfy the following eligibility criteria for admission to the Integrated M. Tech programme:

Aspirants should have completed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects from a recognized board. Candidates are required to have a minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying examination.

Those candidates who have completed 16 years of age on the date of admission or any other date decided by the entrance test committee are eligible to apply. There is no upper age limit for applying for the Integrated Masters programme.

Application Procedure

Admission to the Integrated M. Tech programme is carried out through the entrance examination conducted by JNTU.
