Biochemistry is the study of chemical processes within and relating to living organisms.It is closely related to Molecular Biology, the study of the molecular mechanisms by which genetic information encoded in DNA is able to result in the processes of life. The findings of biochemistry are applied primarily in medicine, nutrition, and agriculture. A biochemist can work in a pathology lab in a hospital. He can also work in Pharmaceutical , Agricultural, dairy and food industries at a research level. A biochemist can work as teaching faculty and research guide even if the institute does not have a course named BIOCHEMISTRY but it may be a subject for another course.
